ADB Internship Program 2023 | Fully Funded

Applicants have been invited to apply for the ADB Internship Program 2023. There are approximately 60 countries represented at the ADB Summer Internship, including employees from all over the world. Here is another opportunity for you to participate in an international internship. This scholarship program is only available to international students enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral Degree Program. Students pursuing undergraduate degrees are not permitted to enroll. There is no need to take the IELTS or TOEFL.

ADB Internship Program 2023

Approximately 11 weeks are required to complete an ADB Internship in 2022. The duration of the contract can be 15 weeks, depending on the circumstances. The ADB advertises internship opportunities twice a year and welcomes self-directed individuals who are motivated, open-minded, and have a desire to learn about the ADB’s work. It is an opportunity for students to gain experience through project-based learning through the Internship Program. The internship program at ADB will provide international students with the chance to gain research experience.

The schedule of the regular work hours is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break in between. If you have another preferred schedule, please discuss it with your supervisors. The intern will receive a stipend depending on the location of his or her internship. Interns may extend their work period beyond 56 calendar days. There is an exception to the stipend rule for interns who are part of special arrangements between select schools and the ADB. Eligibility Criteria

  • You must be enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program.
  • Be a citizen of one of ADB’s member countries
  • Possess excellent English communication skills
  • Possess professional experience relevant to the assignment.
  • Applicants who are close relatives of ADB employees are not eligible to apply.

Criteria for selection

  • The candidates submit their applications through ACES, prepare their CVs, and answer the essay questions.
  • Applicants must upload all required documents (CV and essay) to ACES in order to complete the application process.
  • Application materials submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
  • Applicants should not wait until the last day of the application period to submit their applications in order to avoid errors.
  • Application evaluation is based on the following factors: eligibility requirements, relevance of educational study and work experience, and level of interest and motivation to contribute to the development process.
  • The ADB also takes into account institutional representation, gender, and nationality balance when selecting interns.
